This past Friday marked a decade since we moved to Portland Oregon and this house. While it was obviously nice to be able to walk down the hill and put my feet in the Pacific Ocean before, the whole family has really thrived in Oregon. It was a good decision.

Some of the neighbors had told me they heard an eagle in the trees above my house, but no one had seen one. Tonight we were sitting outside enjoying the lovely weather when a bald eagle flew 20 feet over our heads!

Wow! I am glad I was able to see that beautiful bird so close!

I noticed today that when the sun was shining the bees were out, but when the sun was hiding I couldn’t find any bees.

Being at the ATmosphere Conference, spending time with intelligent, passionate people in real life, was like a breath of fresh air. Gratefully, the feeling lingers.

My youngest is thriving in college but he’s so busy that we haven’t done a family call in a couple weeks and the last text from him just said “wonderful, thank”.

He’s coming up so we can see a play this weekend though, so I guess I’ll let it slide. Ha!
